Final Project Research

My final project is a website of Game of Thrones.

I did a lot of research and found out there were so many websites about Game of Thrones. Most of them were article based websites about what they think about the TV shows or what's going to happen. Since it's a TV show, it had a lot of videos in their webpage. And because the story is so complicated and has a lot of characters, the websites had a lot of pages and long texts. These websites made me overwhelmed and I didn't want to make my website like that. To make it simple, I narrowed down my themes to Direwolves and House of Starks and decided to make a website for people who just watched season1. It was hard not to spoil the story, since a lot of people die, and the story keeps on focusing on different stuff. I liked the Direwolves that was focused mostly on season1 and 2 and found out that there were people like me out there.

I got some idea from Game of Thrones Wiki, which has a page specificly about Direwolves. (Even for this page, it has a spoiler, just to let you know if you haven't watched yet. ) This website had details about the Direwolves' behaviors and biology and even a story behind the scenes of Game of Thrones. It was very interesting reading these articles. From this website, I learned how you can make list of items from one theme.

The Telegraph is one of the websites that inspired me for making the Stark family page. I liked the design because it was very simple and very well organized. As you can see on their website, there are 9 houses and if you start putting all those informations, it'll be so long, so I decided to only focus on Stark family. It was good to know how people would structure a family tree.

Through the research, I got an idea how big and/or how much space it'll take with the contents that I first had in mind. It also showed me how you can sort the themes.
